Antony Gibb

Antony has a background in history of art, archaeology, construction and planning. Following a career in commercial interior design (restaurants and offices) and a post-graduate diploma at the Architectural Association, he has specialized in the repair of historic structures, working first for Caroe & Partners Architects in London for 10 years, later with John Williams Architects in Jersey, and since 2002 as principal of his own practice. He is a member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation.

Antony is a Commissioner of the Jersey Architecture Commission, providing advice and design review for larger scale and complex developments in Jersey. He has also acted as locum Conservation Officer for the Planning Department. He has been historic buildings advisor to Jersey Heritage since 2002, advising on the repair and maintenance of buildings in the organisation’s care, and has lectured internationally about Jersey’s ‘Heritage Holiday Lets’ scheme in Hungary, Romania and Georgia.
