Paul qualified in 1985 and has worked for Chesterton, Hamptons, Hermes Fund Managers and the Royal Bank of Scotland International (RBSI) where he was Property Strategy Manager.

In 2008 Paul left RBSI to join Sandpiper CI Ltd, a Private Equity Company. As Property Manager he was responsible for the asset management of the Sandpiper operational property portfolio in the Channel Islands. This included the sale of five Checkers supermarkets to Waitrose in 2010 and acquisition of retail space for new franchises including Iceland, Costa Coffee, Pasty Presto, Hotel Chocolate, M & S Home store and Jack Wills and Co.

Paul is now Managing Director of Paul Ellison and Company, whose clients include Waitrose, Parish of St Helier, Jersey Enterprise and Morgan Stanley. He is also managing director of Cronus II Limited which is developing Enderby Wharf, Greenwich, London, a mixed use £200M scheme including cruise liner terminal, hotel, residential and commercial uses. He is particularly interested in sustainable development and facilitating conservation of historic and listed buildings.
