Plemont Seabird Sanctuary

PROJECTS

Plemont Seabird Sanctuary

Proposals by Birds on the Edge for a Seabird Sanctuary along a stretch of coastline at Plemont aims to protect existing birds (including puffins) and encourage the return and re-colonisation of locally extinct species of birds and native plants.

We prepared an Historic Impact Statement assessing the impact of a 2m high predator-exclusion fence on the setting of 4 Listed Buildings:  a Fortified Guardhouse and Magazine (c.1810) and 2 Occupation Structures: all Grade 2 and Grade 3 Listed Buildings.
